AS4 Hitting program focuses on the mental and physical side of the game. We focus on optimizing your hitting mechanics and mental approach at the plate. We use up to date technology to give you feedback and understand how to use and sequence the kinematic chain properly.
Hitting Assessment
We first put the player through various functional movement exercises which allows us to know where their body is and how it moves. We then take HD video and collect data using Trackman from all different angles. This video analysis allows us to educate and inform the athletes where they are with efficient and inefficient movements.
We are then able to point out and educate the athlete where we would like them to be at during launch and contact position. This assessment will give us a clear understanding of what we need to target during drills.
Progress and Testing
Hitters are always getting video feedback, so they understand what they are feeling and doing. After we see progress in our athletes, we retest our hitters using the data we have collected from the baseline assessment and compare numbers. We store that data and continue to develop.
